East Asian medicine

East Asian medicine is a comprehensive medical system and one of the oldest recorded forms of medicine.

Based on principles of holism, East Asian medicine focuses on the interaction between all parts of the body, rather than isolating symptoms and functions. It is rooted in nature-based philosophy, viewing the body as a landscape and ecosystem.

When there is stagnation or disruption in the body's energy pathways (called meridians), we may become ill and experience pain. Acupuncture works to restore the smooth flow of Qi – the body's vital energy – using very fine sterile needles placed at specific points to achieve balance and harmony in body and mind.

Acupuncture can address a wide range of medical conditions – from acute and chronic pain to complex systemic disorders. It's very effective for musculoskeletal problems, migraines, digestive issues and respiratory disorders. Many women find relief through acupuncture for menstrual and menopausal conditions, and it provides valuable support during pregnancy and postpartum. The treatment also addresses mental and emotional wellbeing, helping with anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders, whilst offering support for fatigue and burnout.

Immune system – strengthening the body's immune function and reducing inflammatory responses
